Sanctum of the Twelve (11/14/17 Session)

[GM Note: as a reminder - males in one room, females in another. Janvier, Kiba, R'tahka, Kasandora all feel the beginning of a cold coming on.]
SLUMBER PARTY
When the two of them settle down, it makes for a very fluffy pile in the center of the room. "Not what I expected out this way at all."
It's still very curious how they ended up here. "The Sylphs," Kimomo ponders. "They really don't see things the same way we do, do they? Very different priorities."
OH MY GOD LIKE LET'S HAVE PILLOW FIGHTS AND TALK ABOUT BOYS
as she settles in and hugs her robe tighter around herself. Rain's not overly common in Ul'dah, and even those rare times it does it's still warm outside. Rain plus cold forest? She's not a fan.
She gives a sniffle before she replies. "Yeah, they are a strange group, but they're kind enough and that's all that matters to me." Huh. Her throat also feels a little off. She clears it for good measure. "I'm very grateful that Laxio was able to lead us to this sanctuary, and that the keeper was so kind as to take us in. I would have hated to camp out in that storm, especially with those deadly boars and crazed trees nearby."
Re: OH MY GOD LIKE LET'S HAVE PILLOW FIGHTS AND TALK ABOUT BOYS
"Very functional. I kind of like them." Kimomo stretches out, and Carby puts its head on her arm immediately.
Mind if I join you?
And yet, despite changing she still wears her mask. She's been thinking about it a lot the past two days and wonders if that's why so many of her arrows have flown astray.
"I think I'd heard about this place, but I'm surprised it's seeing proper use and care. The ruins in the South Shroud have been....they've been left to the madmen and voidsent who roam their grounds." At the mention of voidsent she again touches at her mask, her fingers twitching as she debates removing it but settles on leaving it on.
"I've not met the sylphs before today but I've heard stories. Mostly tales from disgruntled hunters and traders about tricks and pranks being played on them. Though perhaps the sylphs do not see such things this way themselves."
Re: Mind if I join you?
But Kimomo is turning the thought of voidsent over and over in her mind. There's a pause, before she lets that thought out into the room. "Do you think the rumors are true, that there's more voidsent now, since...the last few months?" Too tactful to directly bring up the day that changed all of their lives. "Or is it just that there are fewer of us to fight them now?"
no subject
She doesn't imagine those who chose to worship Dalamud garnered much sympathy from most in the cities, but an impending Calamity can make people act in ways not like their sane selves.
"Whatever pain and suffering the Calamity has brought about has likely attracted their attention. There's likely more, but it's because we survived. Not because of what happened. At least, that's what I think." There may well be fewer souls alive now but no, she wanted to believe that the worst of this Umbral Era was behind them, foolish as it might be. Especially for her.
SLUMBER PARTY (DUDE EDITION)
He's not certain if it is from the long day and all its toils, or if he is having some type of allergic reaction to either the cloth of his borrowed robe or the many flower arrangements from out in the hall. It could be both.
Either way, he has discovered that the provided bedroll, like the robe, is too short for him, and his feet stick out over the edge to rest his ankles on the cool marble. Wonderful.
He is never going to be able to sleep like this. So, instead, he will...talk, speaking to the air (or perhaps to whoever is nearest): "If I check at dawn, and then at mid-morning, I should be able to obtain the rest of the latex we require."
