Janvier nods, seemingly oblivious to his compatriots strange behavior. "A necklace would be good. I'll have to keep it under my armor though. I would hate for someone to try and use it as a handhold during a fight. We didn't wear jewelry in the pit for that reason. Jewelry left you vulnerable to... creative fighting measures."

Janvier stares past R'tahka, absent mindedly starting to polish the hammer. He thinks back to a time where someone's gold necklace glinted in front of him in a fight...

He shakes his head a little, hair flopping everywhere. He smiles again, a little smaller this time.

"We'll have the polished up in no time. The biggest source of wear and tear on equipment is the lack of proper maintenance."
